Weighing in at 51 kg, the Emitter I Basic is a sophisticated and fully-fledged high-end hi-fi amplifier that is constantly supplied with its required power via an external power supply. This ensures quiet operating conditions in the main unit, which has a very positive effect on performance and sound. The following applies to all Emitter models: When it comes to music reproduction, there is nothing but pure truth in its most beautiful form!
ASR Emitters stand for unfiltered, unvarnished, and effect-free sound. This is one of the reasons why virtually all musical styles are reproduced excellently and with complete honesty. Thanks to the deliberate abundance of power reserves, the Emitter I Basic is always capable of conjuring an extremely clean, unfussy, detailed, and energetic sound image into the listening room. Crisp, deep, and wobble-free bass, warm and colorful mids, and a smooth, realistic treble all work together seamlessly.
In summary, the Emitter I Basic produces a noticeably realistic stage that audibly anchors all performers and instruments firmly in their places. The speakers virtually disappear, and movements on the stage are reproduced in a localizable and fluid manner, and are immediately perceived as such.
Stability, and more stability, is another key criterion for us. If the soundstage distorts, even for a brief moment, performers and/or instruments suddenly no longer sound from the stage but from the speakers, the spatiality wavers, or the bass briefly gets out of control, a listening session quickly becomes an annoying and unsatisfying experience.
By the way: The Emitter I Basic isn't intended as an entry-level amplifier, even though it has five more powerful siblings in its portfolio. They also get significantly better as they go up, that's just the nature of things. Rather, with the Emitter I Basic, we want to offer you a sophisticated and extremely stable "music machine" that allows you to enjoy top-class, high-end music in your own home.
Entry-level amplifiers are not available because we are only just entering the market where many of our competitors have already reached the end of their rope.
Another innovation of our amplifiers is that although the emitters are delivered in the factory settings (found to be optimal according to our test environments), they offer the possibility of optimally adjusting the sound character to individual needs, the listening room environment, the respective loudspeaker characteristics, the cables used and the source devices via DIP switches inside the main unit.
Music lovers who prefer a bit more attack in the upper bass and midrange, who like more dominant voices and instruments - and who want everything to be a bit more lively - will get their money's worth, as will those with a more gentle taste.
Changing the factory settings does not affect the basic qualities of the emitter. The broadband spatiality is, of course, retained without any loss.
Thanks to the customization options, an Emitter always becomes a perfectly fitting tailor-made suit.
