Stereo Integrated Amplifier (1996)
A pre-main amplifier designed by utilizing the high S/N technology obtained in the development of the separate amplifier SC-5/SM-5.
The characteristic curve of the tone control amplifier section is set to make the best use of the high-performance small speaker, and the active filter type NFB circuit is designed to prevent unwanted band changes.
The volume part uses 4-row active volume system.
This volume incorporates Marantz's original volume technology that emphasizes S/N in actual use. By linking the NF volume of the preamplifier using New HDAM and FET buffer with the main volume, S/N in actual use has been improved.
The power amplifier section uses single-stage voltage amplification and 3-stage Darlington single push-pull configuration.
This circuit employs a multi-feedback system that combines voltage feedback and current feedback to provide excellent static and dynamic performance.
The power supply uses a large R-core toroidal transformer to reduce magnetic flux leakage and transformer noise.
In addition, a noise killer element is inserted into each secondary winding of the power transformer to absorb rectification noise.
The chassis structure is based on a highly rigid zinc die-cast chassis and non-magnetic aluminum is used for the front, rear, side and top exterior panels.
The phono equalizer amplifier section is compatible with both MM and MC cartridges.
